Key Features
- Genuine OEM Construction — Manufactured to Multiquip's original mesh and housing specifications, ensuring the arrester screens exhaust particulates at the correct retention rating for this generator family.
- Direct Bolt-On Replacement — Matches the original exhaust outlet mounting pattern on GA-6RE and GA-6REA units for a straightforward swap with existing hardware.
- Confirmed Fitment — Verified for GA-6RE and GA-6REA portable generators, eliminating compatibility uncertainty at the point of installation.
- Exhaust Particulate Control — A properly functioning spark arrester traps and extinguishes hot exhaust particles before they exit the stack, protecting surrounding materials and personnel.
- Regulatory Compliance Ready — Spark arresters are required by law in many jurisdictions for equipment operated near vegetation or in fire-sensitive environments; using the correct OEM part supports compliance with those requirements.
A spark arrester is fitted to the exhaust outlet of a generator to capture and cool hot carbon particles before they are expelled into the surrounding environment. Without a functioning arrester, burning fragments from the exhaust can ignite dry vegetation, debris, or other flammable materials nearby. Over time, the internal mesh screen can become clogged with carbon buildup or physically damaged, reducing exhaust flow and eliminating the protective screening effect — both of which signal that the arrester needs immediate replacement.
