Multiquip 2677960301 Exciter Coil Complete

The Multiquip 2677960301 Exciter Coil Complete is a genuine OEM component designed for GA-6RE and GA-6REA portable generators. Sourced directly from Multiquip, this exciter coil delivers the exact electrical specifications required to keep your generator producing stable, consistent output. It is a direct-fit replacement confirmed for GA-6RE and GA-6REA models, ensuring proper installation without guesswork. Keep this part number on hand — 2677960301 — when ordering to verify you are receiving the correct coil for your unit.

Key Features

• Exact OEM Electrical Output: — Wound and rated to the original specification, ensuring the exciter coil delivers the correct field current to sustain proper generator voltage regulation.
• Direct-Fit Installation: — Designed to mount to the original exciter rotor assembly with the same bolt pattern and connector interface as the factory component.
• Confirmed Fitment: — Compatible with Multiquip GA-6RE and GA-6REA portable generators; verify your model code before ordering.
• Stable Voltage Generation: — A correctly functioning exciter coil maintains the magnetic field needed for steady AC output; a failed coil causes voltage loss, erratic output, or a generator that will not excite under load.
• Electrical Safety Compliance: — As a critical component in the generator's excitation circuit, using a genuine OEM coil ensures correct insulation grade and winding integrity, reducing the risk of electrical faults or overheating.

The exciter coil is a key winding in the generator's self-excitation system. It generates the initial magnetic field that allows the main alternator to begin producing AC voltage — without it, the generator cannot build up output even if the engine runs normally. Over time, heat cycling and vibration can degrade the winding insulation or cause an open circuit, resulting in a machine that cranks and runs but produces no usable power. Replacing a failed exciter coil with a genuine OEM part restores the generator's ability to produce stable voltage from startup.
