The Multiquip 491435S Vintage Air Filter is a genuine OEM component designed for the MVC77B plate compactor. As an original Multiquip part, it is produced to the same specification as the filter installed at the factory, ensuring a direct, correct-fit replacement for this specific model. This part carries a "Vintage" designation, indicating it services an older production run of the MVC77B — always verify your machine's serial number and parts manual before ordering to confirm applicability. DHS Equipment supplies genuine Multiquip OEM parts, so you can be confident you're receiving an authentic 491435S.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Filtration Media — Manufactured to the original air filtration specification for the MVC77B, maintaining correct airflow and contaminant capture for the engine.
- Direct OEM Replacement — Designed to seat and seal exactly as the original filter did, with no adaptation needed to fit the existing air cleaner housing on the MVC77B.
- Vintage-Series Compatibility — Specifically sourced for earlier production MVC77B plate compactors; confirm your unit's production date and parts list before purchase.
- Engine Protection at Every Service Interval — A correctly functioning air filter keeps abrasive dust and debris out of the engine, directly protecting piston rings, cylinder walls, and carburetor internals from accelerated wear.
- Fuel Efficiency and Clean Running — A clogged or degraded filter restricts airflow, richening the fuel mixture and causing rough running, increased fuel consumption, and hard starts — replacing it on schedule keeps the engine performing as designed.
The air filter is the engine's first line of defense against the fine concrete dust, sand, and grit that plate compactors operate in constantly. It prevents abrasive particles from entering the carburetor and combustion chamber, where they would cause rapid wear to internal engine components. When an air filter becomes clogged or deteriorates, airflow to the engine is restricted, leading to hard starts, loss of compaction force, excessive fuel consumption, and potentially serious engine damage if left unaddressed.
