A cap on the SAA6D125E-5 engine serves as a protective closure for a specific port, reservoir, or passage within the engine assembly. Its role is to maintain a proper seal, preventing fluid loss, contamination ingress, or pressure escape from the system it covers. When a cap becomes cracked, warped, or missing, it can allow dirt or moisture into sensitive engine components or cause fluid levels to drop unexpectedly, leading to accelerated wear or unplanned downtime on your DCA-300SSK4 generator.
