The Multiquip 8971153151 Hot Plug DCA25USI 4LE2 is a genuine OEM component designed for the DCA25USI ultra-silent diesel generator. As a direct factory replacement, this plug is manufactured to the exact specifications required by the Isuzu 4LE2 engine platform found in the DCA25USI series. Sourced directly from Multiquip, part 8971153151 ensures a correct, hassle-free installation with no guesswork on fitment or compatibility.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Construction — Manufactured to the exact electrical and thermal tolerances required by the Isuzu 4LE2 engine, ensuring consistent ignition performance and correct heat range for this specific application.
- Direct-Fit Replacement — Engineered specifically for the DCA25USI ultra-silent generator; threads, seat type, and reach match the original installation point without adaptation.
- DCA25USI Series Compatibility — Confirmed fitment for DCA25USI Multiquip ultra-silent diesel generator units powered by the Isuzu 4LE2 engine.
- Consistent Engine Starting and Combustion — A properly functioning hot plug supports reliable cold starts and stable combustion cycles in the 4LE2 engine, keeping generator output steady under load.
- Electrical Safety Compliance — Using the correct OEM-specified plug ensures the ignition system operates within designed parameters, reducing the risk of misfires or uncontrolled combustion events in a generator environment.
A hot plug — also referred to as a glow plug in diesel applications — plays a critical role in pre-heating the combustion chamber of the Isuzu 4LE2 engine before and during startup. Without sufficient heat, diesel fuel does not ignite cleanly, resulting in hard starts, excessive white or black smoke, and rough running at low temperatures. When a hot plug fails or degrades, combustion efficiency drops, engine wear increases, and generator output can become unstable. Replacing a worn plug with the correct Multiquip 8971153151 restores proper ignition conditions and protects the long-term health of the engine.
