Key Features
- OEM-Grade Airflow Channeling — Manufactured to exact dimensional tolerances that maintain proper cooling and exhaust airflow routing inside the generator enclosure.
- Direct Enclosure Fit — Engineered specifically for the DCA400SSK2 housing layout, seating and aligning with existing mounting points without modification.
- DCA400SSK2 Compatibility — Purpose-built for the Multiquip DCA400SSK2 ultra-silent diesel generator series.
- Thermal Protection — Correct duct routing prevents hot air recirculation inside the canopy, protecting the engine and alternator from heat stress during extended run cycles.
- Genuine OEM Part — Supplied under part number C3454301804 directly from the Multiquip parts network, ensuring authenticity and consistent material quality.
The duct on a canopied generator serves as a dedicated air channel that directs fresh intake air toward the engine and cooling system while routing heated exhaust air out of the enclosure. In ultra-silent generators like the DCA400SSK2, precise airflow management is critical — the soundproofed canopy limits natural air movement, so the duct must efficiently separate hot and cold air paths to prevent overheating. A damaged or improperly fitted duct can cause heat to recirculate inside the canopy, leading to elevated engine temperatures, reduced output efficiency, and potential thermal shutdown under load.
