The Multiquip EM98088 Pre Cleaner ST70DRM is a genuine OEM pre cleaner designed for the ST70DRM. As a direct Multiquip OEM part, EM98088 is manufactured to the same specification as the original component, ensuring a correct, confidence-inspiring installation every time. This pre cleaner is confirmed to fit the ST70DRM, making it a straightforward service replacement for operators and technicians working on that equipment.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Filtration Media — Manufactured to the exact material and porosity spec of the original, so the pre cleaner traps coarse debris at the correct efficiency for the ST70DRM air intake.
- Direct-Fit Replacement — Engineered to seat and seal the same way as the factory component, with no trimming, adapting, or improvising at installation.
- Confirmed ST70DRM Fitment — Sourced specifically for the ST70DRM; no cross-referencing guesswork needed when ordering EM98088.
- Protects Downstream Air Filtration — A functioning pre cleaner extends the service life of the main air filter by capturing large particles before they reach finer filtration stages, keeping the engine breathing cleanly.
- Engine Health Depends on First-Stage Filtration — A degraded or missing pre cleaner allows grit and debris to accelerate wear on the main filter and ultimately the engine internals, making timely pre cleaner replacement a core maintenance task.
A pre cleaner is the first line of defense in an engine's air intake system. It wraps around or sits ahead of the main air filter element and captures large airborne particles — dust, chaff, and debris — before they can clog the primary filter or reach the carburetor and engine internals. When the pre cleaner becomes saturated or damaged, filtration efficiency drops sharply, the main filter loads up faster, and unfiltered air can ultimately reach the engine, accelerating wear and increasing the risk of performance issues.
