The Multiquip MC000039 Radiator Cap DCA-85SSM is a genuine OEM radiator cap designed for the DCA-85SSM ultra-silent diesel generator. As a factory-original component, it is built to the exact pressure specifications required for proper cooling system operation on the DCA-85SSM. Sourced directly through the Multiquip parts network, MC000039 ensures a correct, confident fit with no guesswork on compatibility.
Key Features
- OEM Pressure Rating: — Factory-spec pressure valve maintains the correct system pressure for the DCA-85SSM cooling circuit, preventing coolant loss and overheating.
- Direct-Fit Replacement: — Engineered to seat and seal exactly as the original cap, threading directly onto the DCA-85SSM radiator filler neck without adaptation.
- DCA-85SSM Specific Fitment: — Confirmed compatible with the DCA-85SSM ultra-silent generator series; always verify your model before ordering.
- Cooling System Integrity: — A correctly rated cap holds the coolant under the right pressure, raising the boiling point and keeping the engine running at a stable operating temperature during extended generator use.
- Safety-Rated Seal: — The pressure-relief function on this cap is critical to safe cooling system operation; a worn or incorrect cap can cause sudden coolant release and scalding hazard during service.
The radiator cap serves as both a seal and a pressure-relief valve for the engine cooling system. It holds coolant under a specified pressure to raise its boiling point, helping the engine maintain a stable operating temperature even under heavy load. When a radiator cap fails — whether through a weakened spring, a cracked seal, or an incorrect pressure rating — the cooling system loses its ability to regulate properly, which can lead to coolant boiling over, overheating, and potential engine damage. Replacing a worn cap with the correct OEM part is one of the simplest and most effective steps in routine cooling system maintenance.
