A plug seals an opening in a component or assembly, preventing fluid loss or contamination ingress at that port. When a plug fails, cracks, or is lost entirely, the exposed port can allow fluid to escape or debris to enter, leading to component damage or operational issues. Replacing a worn or missing plug with the correct OEM part restores the integrity of the sealed opening and keeps the machine performing as intended.
