The Genie 139191GT is a genuine OEM Kubota DF972 Starter Motor built for Genie Z-34/22 IC and Z-34 IC articulating boom lifts. Sourced directly from Genie, this part meets the exact specifications of the original component installed at the factory. It is a direct replacement for the Kubota DF972-powered units in the Z-34 IC family, so no adaptation or guesswork is needed to confirm the correct fit — cross-reference part number 139191GT against your machine's parts manual to verify your serial range before ordering.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Quality — Manufactured to Genie's original specifications for the Kubota DF972 engine, ensuring correct electrical output, torque engagement, and dimensional fit from the first crank.
- Direct OEM Replacement — Designed to replace the original starter motor in Genie Z-34/22 IC and Z-34 IC boom lifts without modification, connecting to the existing mounting points and wiring harness.
- Confirmed Fitment — Fits Genie Z-34/22 IC and Z-34 IC articulating boom lifts equipped with the Kubota DF972 engine; verify by part number 139191GT in your parts manual.
- Reliable Engine Cranking — A sound starter motor delivers consistent, high-torque engagement to start the engine cleanly. A worn or failed starter causes no-start conditions and takes the machine out of service.
- Operational Safety — A correctly functioning starter ensures the engine starts and stops as designed, supporting safe machine operation and consistent response to operator controls on the platform.
The starter motor is an electric motor that cranks the engine when the operator initiates ignition, drawing power from the battery to spin the engine fast enough to begin combustion. Without a functioning starter, the machine cannot be started, halting all lift operations. A worn or failed starter motor typically presents as slow cranking, a single loud click with no crank, or a complete no-start condition — all of which require immediate replacement with the correct OEM part to restore the machine to service.
