The Wacker Neuson Med Muffler is a genuine OEM component designed for the G40, G50, G60, G70, and G85 series skid-mounted mobile generators. Sourced directly from Wacker Neuson, this muffler meets the original design specifications of the generator it replaces, ensuring a correct, hassle-free installation. It is compatible across a wide range of G-series configurations, including standard, cold weather, extended run tank, and custom variants. Whether you are servicing a G50 or a G70 in the field, part number is the verified replacement to keep your generator running as intended.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Exhaust Specification — Manufactured to Wacker Neuson's original backpressure and heat-dissipation requirements for G-series generator engines, not a generic approximation.
- Drop-In Installation — Matches original mounting points and connection geometry on G40, G50, G60, G70, and G85 platforms, so the swap is straightforward without fabrication or adapter hardware.
- Broad G-Series Fitment — Verified across standard, cold weather, extended run tank, and custom skid configurations within the G50, G70, and G85 generator families, as well as select G40 and G60 models.
- Sustained Sound and Emission Control — A fully functional muffler keeps exhaust noise within acceptable operating levels and directs combustion gases safely away from the enclosure — critical on generator sets operating near workers or in enclosed staging areas.
- Exhaust Integrity Matters — A cracked, corroded, or failed muffler can allow exhaust gases to migrate toward the enclosure and operator area; replacing it promptly with the correct OEM part restores safe exhaust routing.
The muffler is part of the generator's exhaust system, responsible for dampening combustion noise and safely channeling hot exhaust gases away from the engine and enclosure. On skid-mounted mobile generators like the G-series, the muffler is exposed to sustained high temperatures and vibration, which can eventually cause cracking, corrosion, or mounting fatigue. When the muffler fails, exhaust noise increases sharply, hot gases may escape at unintended points, and the machine may no longer meet site sound or emissions requirements — making timely replacement with a correctly specified part essential.
