The Genie 65491GT is a genuine OEM Water Pump, Perkins (53883) built for the Genie Z-80/60 articulating boom lift. As a direct-from-Genie OEM part, it is manufactured to the same specification as the original component it replaces, ensuring a correct, hassle-free installation. Cross-reference part number 65491GT against your Z-80/60 parts manual to confirm it is the right part for your machine before ordering.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Construction — Built to the same specification as the original Perkins water pump, ensuring dimensional conformity and correct material grade for this application.
- Direct OEM Replacement — Designed to install in place of the original component without modification, restoring the cooling circuit to proper working order.
- Correct Perkins Fitment — Engineered specifically for the Perkins engine fitted to the Genie Z-80/60, with reference number 53883 confirming the correct pump variant.
- Sustained Cooling Performance — A properly functioning water pump maintains consistent coolant circulation, protecting the engine from overheating and keeping the machine available for work at height.
- Operational Safety — Engine overheating caused by a failed pump can force unplanned shutdowns at elevation; replacing a worn pump promptly maintains safe, uninterrupted operation of the Z-80/60.
A water pump circulates coolant through the engine and the cooling system, drawing heat away from critical engine components and preventing overheating. When the pump wears or fails — through a leaking seal, a damaged impeller, or bearing failure — coolant flow drops and engine temperatures rise, leading to performance loss or an automatic shutdown. Replacing the pump with the correct OEM part, Genie 65491GT, restores proper coolant flow and protects the Perkins engine against heat-related damage.
