The Honda 12315-ZA0-700 Breather Tube is a genuine OEM component designed for GX360 horizontal shaft engines, HT3813 lawn tractors, and HT4213 lawn tractors. As a direct Honda OEM part, it is manufactured to the same specification as the original, ensuring correct routing and a proper seal within the crankcase ventilation system. Honda supersedes parts at serial breaks, so confirm your machine's serial number against the fitment table before ordering to ensure part number 12315-ZA0-700 is the right match for your unit.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM — sourced directly from Honda, this breather tube meets the exact routing dimensions and material requirements of the original part it replaces.
- Correct Crankcase Venting — a properly functioning breather tube maintains balanced crankcase pressure; a cracked or collapsed tube causes oil consumption, rough running.
- Broad Fitment — designed for GX360 horizontal shaft engines, HT3813 lawn tractors, and HT4213 lawn tractors, covering both bare-engine and lawn tractor applications.
- Serial Number Verification Recommended — Honda updates part configurations at specific production breaks, so check your machine's serial number against the fitment table to confirm this is the correct version for your unit.
The breather tube is a key part of the engine's crankcase ventilation system. It routes blow-by gases — combustion gases that pass the piston rings into the crankcase — back into the air intake to be burned, keeping pressure from building up inside the crankcase and preventing oil from being pushed out past seals and gaskets. When the tube cracks, collapses, or becomes clogged, crankcase pressure rises, oil leaks become common, and the engine may run poorly or consume oil at an accelerated rate. Replacing a damaged breather tube restores proper crankcase breathing and protects engine seals from pressure-related wear.
