The Honda 16100-ZA8-000 Carburetor Assembly is a genuine OEM Carburetor Assembly designed for EM650 and EX650 generators. As a direct Honda OEM replacement, this assembly is manufactured to the same specifications as the original unit, ensuring proper fit and function without modification. Confirm your generator's serial number against the fitment table before ordering, as Honda supersedes parts at specific serial breaks and more than one carburetor variant may apply to these models.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM — sourced directly from Honda, this Carburetor Assembly delivers the correct jetting, fuel metering, and idle circuit calibration the EM650 and EX650 generators were engineered around
- Direct OEM Replacement — replaces the original carburetor on a like-for-like basis, so reassembly follows the same procedure as the factory unit
- Generator Fitment — built specifically for EM650 and EX650 generators; always verify your serial number against the fitment table to confirm this is the correct assembly for your unit
- Restored Fuel Delivery — a worn or clogged carburetor causes hard starting, rough running, and loss of output; replacing it with part number 16100-ZA8-000 brings fuel metering back to spec and restores stable generator performance
The carburetor is responsible for mixing air and fuel in the precise ratio the engine requires to start reliably and run at a steady load. On a generator like the EM650 or EX650, consistent carburetion is especially important because voltage output is tied directly to engine speed — a lean or rich condition causes the engine to hunt, surge, or stall under load, resulting in unstable power delivery to connected equipment. When the carburetor wears, gums up, or develops internal damage, replacing the entire assembly rather than attempting to rebuild individual components is often the faster and more dependable path to restoring full generator output.
