The Honda 16100-ZE5-005 Carburetor Assembly is a genuine OEM Carburetor Assembly designed for HRM21 and HRS21 lawn mowers. As a direct Honda OEM component, this carburetor is built to the exact specifications of the original unit, ensuring proper air-fuel metering and reliable starts on the equipment it serves. Confirm your mower's serial number against the fitment table before ordering — Honda supersedes parts at serial breaks, and part number 16100-ZE5-005 applies to specific production ranges within the HRM21 and HRS21 lines.
Key Features
- Correct Jetting and Fuel Metering — as a genuine Honda OEM carburetor, this assembly carries the exact jets, emulsion tubes, and needle settings calibrated for the HRM21 and HRS21 engines, so fuel delivery matches what the engine was designed to receive
- Drop-In OEM Replacement — engineered to the same dimensions and port geometry as the factory-installed unit, this carburetor installs without modification and connects directly to the existing intake and fuel line fittings
- Mower Fitment — designed specifically for HRM21 and HRS21 Honda lawn mowers; verify your serial number against the fitment table to confirm the correct carburetor for your production range
- Restores Engine Response — a worn or gummed carburetor causes hard starting, rough idle, and loss of power under load; replacing it with this assembly brings fuel delivery back to spec and restores crisp throttle response
The carburetor is the component responsible for blending air and fuel in the precise ratio the engine needs to run cleanly across all throttle positions. It draws fuel from the tank, meters it through calibrated jets, and mixes it with filtered air before delivering the charge to the combustion chamber. When a carburetor degrades — through varnish buildup from stale fuel, worn needle seats, or cracked diaphragms — the engine struggles to start, runs unevenly, or stalls under load. Replacing the assembly with a genuine Honda unit restores the correct mixture and brings the mower back to its designed operating condition.
