The Honda 17510-ZE0-020ZG Fuel Tank (Mat Black) is a genuine OEM replacement built for the GX120 horizontal shaft engine. Sourced directly from Honda, this tank carries the exact fit, finish. As an authentic Honda part, it matches the original mounting points and fuel line connections so the installation follows the standard service procedure. Confirm your engine's serial number against the fitment table to ensure this is the correct variant for your unit.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM Construction — manufactured to the same specification as the original tank, holding fuel volume and dimensions consistent with what your GX120 was designed around.
- Correct Color Match — finished in mat black to match the OEM appearance of the GX120, making this the right choice when visual consistency or a clean restoration matters.
- Direct OEM Fit for the GX120 — designed specifically for GX120 horizontal shaft engines; verify your serial number against the fitment table before ordering, as Honda updates part numbers at production breaks.
- Fuel Integrity Restored — a cracked, warped, or leaking fuel tank starves the engine of a consistent fuel supply and creates a hazard; replacing it with this genuine part restores the sealed, properly flowing fuel system the engine depends on.
The fuel tank stores the gasoline supply that feeds the carburetor on the GX120 engine. It works in combination with the fuel valve and fuel line to deliver a steady, controlled flow of fuel to keep the engine running under load. When the tank develops a crack, warp, or fuel seep — whether from age, impact, or prolonged exposure to ethanol-blended fuel — the engine may run lean, surge, or fail to start altogether, and the leak itself becomes a fire risk. Replacing the tank with a genuine OEM unit restores a clean, sealed fuel supply and brings the engine back to proper operating condition.
