The Honda 17510-ZE3-801ZD Fuel Tank (Power Red) is a genuine OEM replacement built for EG5000, EZ3500, and EZ5000 generators. As a direct Honda OEM component, this fuel tank is manufactured to the same specifications as the original unit, ensuring a proper fit and correct fuel capacity for your generator. Honda supersedes parts at serial-number breaks, so confirm your generator's serial number against the fitment table before ordering to make sure part number 17510-ZE3-801ZD is the right match for your unit. The Power Red color designation identifies this specific variant — verify that it matches the original tank on your machine.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Construction — sourced directly from Honda, this fuel tank meets the same standards as the original part it replaces, ensuring the correct capacity and mounting configuration for your generator.
- Color-Variant Match — the Power Red designation identifies this specific tank variant; confirm the color matches your original unit before purchasing, as Honda offers this tank in more than one finish.
- Generator-Specific Fitment — designed for EG5000, EZ3500, and EZ5000 Honda generators; check your serial number against the fitment table to confirm applicability to your exact production run.
- Fuel Supply Integrity — a properly sealed, undamaged tank is essential for consistent fuel delivery; a cracked or leaking tank starves the generator of fuel and creates a hazard, making timely replacement critical.
The fuel tank stores the gasoline that feeds the generator's engine, supplying a steady flow of fuel to the carburetor during operation. A sound, properly fitted tank maintains consistent fuel pressure and prevents air ingestion that would cause the engine to run rough, surge, or stall. When a tank cracks, warps, or develops a leak — whether from impact, age, or deterioration of the sealing surfaces — fuel delivery becomes unreliable and safe operation is compromised, making replacement with a correct OEM unit the right course of action.
