The Honda 30421-Z5T-W00 Electronic Parts Cover is a genuine OEM component designed for GX340 and GX390 horizontal shaft engines. As a direct Honda replacement, this cover is built to the same specification as the original, ensuring a proper fit without rework or modification. Honda supersedes parts at serial number breaks, so confirm your engine's serial number against the fitment table before ordering to make sure part number 30421-Z5T-W00 is correct for your unit.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM — sourced directly from Honda, this cover meets the same dimensional and material standards as the part it replaces, with no quality compromises.
- Exact-Fit Replacement — engineered to align precisely with the mounting points on GX340 and GX390 engines, so installation goes smoothly without trimming or adaptation.
- Serial Number Matters — Honda updates part numbers at production breaks; always verify your engine serial number against the compatibility table to confirm this is the right cover for your machine.
- Protects Critical Electronics — keeping the electronic components properly enclosed guards against debris, moisture, and vibration that can cause ignition or charging faults and unexpected shutdowns.
The Electronic Parts Cover encloses and shields the ignition and electrical components mounted on the engine — components that are sensitive to dust, moisture, and mechanical vibration. When the cover is cracked, broken, or missing, those electronics are exposed to the conditions an engine routinely operates in, which can lead to erratic ignition, intermittent electrical faults, or component failure. Replacing a damaged cover restores the protection the engine was designed with and keeps the electrical system running as Honda intended.
