The Honda 31611-880-810ZE Upper Cover is a genuine OEM component designed for Honda EB12, EM3500, EM5000, EM6000, EX3300, EX4500, and EX5500 generators. As an authentic Honda part, it is manufactured to the same specifications as the original, ensuring a direct fit with no guesswork. This upper cover is built for generators that demand dependable protection of internal components over extended service life. Confirm your generator's serial number against the fitment table before ordering to ensure this is the correct version for your unit.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM Construction — sourced directly from Honda, this cover matches the original part in form and function, so installation goes smoothly without modification.
- Broad Generator Compatibility — fits Honda EB12, EM3500, EM5000, EM6000, EX3300, EX4500, and EX5500 generators, covering a wide range of Honda's conventional generator lineup.
- Serial Number Verification Recommended — Honda updates and supersedes parts at production serial breaks; check your generator's serial number against the fitment table to confirm this is the right cover for your machine.
- Maintains Enclosure Integrity — a properly fitted upper cover keeps internal generator components shielded from the elements and physical contact, helping the unit perform as intended in demanding conditions.
The upper cover is an exterior enclosure panel on Honda's conventional generator line, forming part of the protective housing that surrounds and shields internal components — including the alternator, control panel wiring, and frame-mounted parts — from dust, debris, and incidental contact. It plays a direct role in keeping the generator's internals intact during transport, storage, and operation. When the cover is cracked, broken, or missing, internal parts are left exposed to conditions that can shorten the service life of the generator and create handling hazards.
