The Honda 38250-898-000 Protector Lens Assembly is a genuine OEM component designed for a wide range of Honda generators, horizontal shaft engines, and lawn mowers, including the EG1400, EG2200, EM1600, EM1800, EM2200, EM2500, EM3000, EM4000, EMS4000, EMS4500, EX3300, EX4500, GX240, GX340, GX390, and HR214. As a genuine Honda part, the Protector Lens Assembly is manufactured to the same specifications as the original, ensuring a direct, clean fit without modification. Honda supersedes parts across serial production runs, so confirm your unit's serial number against the fitment table before ordering to make sure this is the correct assembly for your machine.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Lens Quality — manufactured by Honda to match the original lens dimensions and clarity, ensuring the indicator or lamp it covers functions exactly as intended
- Broad Cross-Platform Fitment — covers Honda EG, EM, EMS, and EX generators, GX240, GX340, and GX390 horizontal shaft engines, and the HR214 lawn mower, making it a widely applicable service part
- Direct Drop-In Replacement — replaces the original assembly in place, restoring the protective cover without rework or adaptation
- Serial-Range Verification Recommended — Honda updates components at production breaks; check your machine's serial number against the fitment table to confirm part number 38250-898-000 applies to your specific unit
The Protector Lens Assembly is a transparent or translucent cover that shields an indicator lamp or warning light from physical damage and environmental exposure. Without an intact lens, the indicator beneath is vulnerable to impact, moisture, and contamination, which can obscure its visibility or lead to premature failure of the lamp itself. Keeping this assembly in good condition ensures that operational status and warning signals remain clearly readable during use.
