The Honda 38252-898-000 Lens Cap is a genuine OEM replacement designed for GX240, GX340, and GX390 horizontal shaft engines, as well as EM650, EX3300, and EX4500 generators. As a direct Honda OEM component, this Lens Cap is manufactured to the exact specifications of the original part it replaces, ensuring a correct, trouble-free fit without modification. This part covers the full span of compatible units listed in the fitment table, and buyers should confirm their machine's serial number against that table before ordering, as Honda supersedes parts at serial breaks.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM — sourced directly from Honda, this Lens Cap matches the original component in form and function, so there is no guesswork on fit or finish
- Broad Compatibility — fits GX240, GX340, and GX390 horizontal shaft engines, along with EM650, EX3300, and EX4500 generators, including a wide range of serial ranges covered by part number 38252-898-000
- Verify Before Ordering — Honda issues part supersessions at serial breaks; check your machine's serial number against the fitment table to confirm this is the correct Lens Cap for your unit
The Lens Cap protects the lens of an indicator or warning light on the machine's control panel or housing, shielding the lens from dirt, moisture, and mechanical damage that could obscure the lamp or allow contaminants to reach the light assembly behind it. On generators such as the EM650, EX3300, and EX4500, panel-mounted indicator lights give the operator at-a-glance status on output or warning conditions, making the integrity of each cap important to clear visibility. A cracked, missing, or yellowed cap reduces readability and leaves the lens assembly exposed to the elements, so replacing a damaged cap promptly keeps the indicator performing as intended.
