Honda 61315-8A4-N10ZA Housing Upper (Vintage Gray Solid)

The Honda 61315-8A4-N10ZA Housing Upper (Vintage Gray Solid) is a genuine OEM replacement designed for HRN216 and HRX217 lawn mowers. As a factory-original component, this part is manufactured to the same standards as the unit that left the production line, ensuring a direct, correct fit without the guesswork that comes with non-OEM alternatives. Honda produces multiple housing variants differentiated by color and finish, so confirm that Vintage Gray Solid matches your existing unit before ordering — part number 61315-8A4-N10ZA is specific to this color designation.

Key Features

• Genuine OEM Color Match — the Vintage Gray Solid finish is an exact factory color, preserving the original appearance of your mower deck assembly rather than leaving a mismatched panel after a repair
• Correct-Fit Replacement — sourced directly from Honda, this housing is engineered to align with the mounting points and contours of HRN216 and HRX217 lawn mowers with no trimming or reworking
• Serial Number Verification Recommended — Honda updates housing designs at production breaks, so check your mower's serial number against the fitment table to confirm part number 61315-8A4-N10ZA is right for your unit
• Structural Integrity Restored — a cracked or damaged upper housing leaves internal components exposed and disrupts airflow management across the deck; replacing it promptly keeps the mower performing as designed

The upper housing on an HRN216 or HRX217 walk-behind lawn mower forms the main structural shell of the deck assembly, enclosing and protecting the blade, discharge pathway, and other deck components from impact and debris. It also plays a role in directing grass flow toward the discharge chute or mulching chamber, depending on how the mower is configured. When the upper housing is cracked, warped, or broken, airflow is disrupted, debris can escape unpredictably, and the structural integrity of the entire deck is compromised — making timely replacement important for consistent cutting performance.
