The Multiquip 8981202641 DEF Tank Level Hose is a genuine OEM component designed for the DCA400SSI4F series super-silent diesel generators, including the DCA400SSI4F, DCA400SSI4F3, DCA400SSI4F3PB, DCA400SSI4F3PD, and related variants. As an authorized OEM part, 8981202641 is built to the exact specifications of the original component, ensuring a direct, accurate replacement for the DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) tank assembly on these machines. Sourced directly through Multiquip's supply chain, this part is the correct choice when servicing the DEF system on DCA400SSI4F series equipment. DHS Equipment supplies this genuine OEM part to keep your generator running in full emissions compliance.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Construction — Manufactured to the original design spec for the DEF tank assembly, ensuring the hose material, diameter, and fittings match the factory-installed component exactly.
- Direct Replacement for DCA400SSI4F Series — Confirmed fitment across DCA400SSI4F, DCA400SSI4F3, DCA400SSI4F3PB, and DCA400SSI4F3PD generator variants with no adaptation needed.
- Emissions System Integrity — A correctly functioning DEF tank level hose ensures accurate fluid level monitoring, which is critical to maintaining proper DEF dosing and Tier 4 emissions compliance on these super-silent generators.
- Chemical-Resistant Hose Material — DEF is a corrosive urea-based solution; this OEM hose is formulated to withstand continuous DEF exposure without degrading, cracking, or leaching contaminants into the fluid.
- Protects Downstream SCR Components — A failed or leaking level hose can result in incorrect DEF level readings or fluid loss, putting the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system at risk of damage or fault codes that shut the generator down.
The DEF tank level hose connects the diesel exhaust fluid reservoir to the level sensing system on Tier 4 diesel generators, allowing the machine's controls to monitor how much DEF remains available for the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) aftertreatment system. When this hose cracks, kinks, or develops a leak, the generator may display inaccurate DEF level warnings, experience fluid loss, or trigger fault codes that force a derating or shutdown — interrupting power output at the worst possible time. Replacing a worn or damaged hose with the correct OEM part restores accurate level monitoring and keeps the emissions system operating as intended.
