A DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) tank decal serves as the primary visual reference for operators identifying fluid type, fill level indicators, and power gauge markings on the tank exterior. Clear, legible labeling is essential to prevent misfueling, which can damage Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems on Tier 4 diesel equipment. When a decal fades, peels, or is removed, operators lose the visual cues needed to service the tank correctly, increasing the risk of costly fluid mix-ups or overfill errors.
