If your rammer is losing power and not hitting like it used to, the clutch could be wearing out early. You can always pull the engine to see if the clutch looks worn. It is a tapered press-fit design on this clutch. Wacker used two different clutches on the BS45Y and BS52Y over the years, and they are not interchangeable. Be sure to check your serial number against the fitment table below before you order, or give us a call. If you don’t want to use a jaw puller to pull the clutch, you can always unthread the nut to the very end of the shaft (so as not to damage the threads) and tap it with a hammer. This will cause it to vibrate and the clutch to slide right off.
