The Honda 31512-ZB7-000 Battery Setting Plate is a genuine OEM component designed for EX3300, EX4500, and EXW171 generators. As an authentic Honda part, it is manufactured to the same standards as the original and slots directly into place without rework or adaptation. This plate fits the EX3300 and EX4500 generators as well as the EXW171 welder generator, making part number 31512-ZB7-000 the correct choice across all three units in this family. Verify your generator's serial number against the fitment table to confirm the right match before ordering.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Construction — sourced directly from Honda, this plate is identical to the part that left the factory, ensuring consistent fit and function in the battery compartment.
- Direct Replacement — engineered to the original dimensions, this Battery Setting Plate installs without modification, restoring the battery retention system to its original configuration.
- Broad Generator Fitment — covers the EX3300 and EX4500 generators and the EXW171 welder generator; check your serial number against the fitment table to confirm applicability to your specific unit.
- Secure Battery Retention — a properly seated plate holds the battery firmly in position, preventing movement that can loosen terminals and interrupt electrical output during operation.
The Battery Setting Plate secures the battery within the generator's housing, keeping it fixed against vibration during run time. Without a correctly fitted plate, the battery can shift, placing stress on the terminals and risking intermittent or lost electrical contact. On generators such as the EX3300, EX4500, and EXW171 that depend on a battery for electric start and voltage regulation support, maintaining solid battery retention is essential to consistent, trouble-free starting and output.
