The Genie 866120GT is a genuine OEM Kubota D905 Radiator Cap built for Genie and Terex portable light towers, including the AL4, AL5, AL5HT, AL5 with Vertical Mast, AL4000, AL5000, and RL4 series. As a direct OEM replacement, this cap is manufactured to the exact pressure rating and fitment spec required by the Kubota D905 engine cooling system on these units. Cross-reference part number 866120GT against your machine's parts manual to confirm it is the correct item for your specific unit before ordering.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Pressure Rating — Manufactured to the exact pressure specification of the original Kubota D905 cap, maintaining correct cooling system pressure without compromise.
- Direct-Fit Replacement — Engineered to seat and seal on the Kubota D905 radiator neck exactly as the original, with no adaptation needed.
- Broad Light Tower Compatibility — Fits Genie AL and RL series portable light towers, including AL4, AL4000, AL5, AL5HT, AL5000, AL5 with Vertical Mast, and RL4 models.
- Cooling System Integrity — A correctly rated radiator cap holds the system at the proper pressure, allowing the coolant to reach its correct operating temperature. A failed or wrong-rated cap can cause overheating and engine damage.
- Operational Safety — On a light tower running extended overnight or jobsite shifts, engine cooling reliability is critical. The correct OEM cap prevents pressure loss that could lead to unexpected shutdown or engine damage.
A radiator cap does more than seal the cooling system — it controls the pressure at which coolant circulates through the engine. By maintaining the correct pressure, it raises the boiling point of the coolant and keeps the Kubota D905 engine running within its safe temperature range. A worn, weak, or incorrect cap allows pressure to escape, which can cause the coolant to boil at a lower temperature, leading to overheating. On a light tower operating through long unattended shifts, replacing a faulty cap with the correct Genie 866120GT OEM part is a straightforward way to protect the engine and keep the unit running reliably.
