The Honda 31127-Z16-000ZB Stator Cover (Mat Black) is a genuine OEM generator cover designed for Honda EB3800, EB4000, EB5000, EB6500, EM3800, EM4000, EM5000, and EM6500 generators. As a direct Honda OEM component, this cover carries the same part number, finish, and dimensions as the piece that left the factory — no guesswork on fit or color match. If your existing cover is cracked, faded, or damaged, this is the correct replacement to restore the generator's exterior to its original condition. Always confirm your generator's model and serial number against the fitment table before ordering, as Honda supersedes parts at production breaks.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Color Match — sourced directly from Honda, this cover is finished in the same mat black as the original, so the repaired unit looks consistent with the rest of the generator housing
- Exact OEM Replacement — manufactured to the same specifications as the original component, this cover drops into place on the stator housing without modification
- Broad Generator Fitment — covers Honda EB3800, EB4000, EB5000, EB6500, EM3800, EM4000, EM5000, and EM6500 generators; verify your model and serial number against the fitment table to confirm the correct variant for your unit
- Protective Function — a sound, undamaged stator cover shields the alternator windings from debris, moisture, and incidental contact, helping the generator perform as intended over its service life
The stator cover is the outer housing panel that encloses the stator assembly — the stationary set of copper windings at the heart of the generator's alternator. By shielding the stator from environmental exposure and physical damage, the cover plays a direct role in keeping the alternator producing clean, stable power output. A cracked or broken cover leaves the stator windings exposed to moisture, dust, and debris, which can lead to insulation breakdown and alternator failure over time.
