The Honda 31127-Z18-000ZB is a genuine OEM Stator Cover (Mat Black) designed for Honda EB3800, EB4000, EB5000, EB6500, EM3800, EM4000, EM5000, and EM6500 generators. As a factory-original component, this cover is manufactured to the exact fit and finish of the part it replaces, ensuring a correct installation without modification. The mat black finish matches the original housing, keeping the generator's exterior consistent and professional in appearance. Confirm your generator's serial number against the fitment table before ordering, as Honda periodically supersedes parts at production breaks.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Construction — sourced directly from Honda, this cover matches the original in profile, mounting geometry, and finish — no guesswork on fitment
- Mat Black Color Match — the (Mat Black) designation is the variant identifier; verify your generator's cover color before ordering to ensure you receive the correct finish for your unit
- Broad Generator Compatibility — designed for Honda EB3800, EB4000, EB5000, EB6500, EM3800, EM4000, EM5000, and EM6500 generators, covering a wide range of Honda's conventional generator lineup
- Check Your Serial Number — Honda updates parts at production milestones, so match your generator's serial number to the fitment table to confirm part number 31127-Z18-000ZB is correct for your specific unit
The stator cover is the outer housing panel that encloses and protects the stator — the stationary winding assembly at the heart of the generator's alternator. By shielding the stator from dust, debris, and mechanical contact, the cover helps maintain the electrical integrity of the generating system. A cracked, broken, or missing cover leaves the stator exposed, which can lead to winding contamination, electrical faults, and ultimately a loss of power output from the generator.
