The Honda 31127-Z17-000ZB Stator Cover (Mat Black) is a genuine OEM replacement designed for Honda EB3800, EB4000, EB5000, EB6500, EG6500, EM3800, EM4000, EM5000, and EM6500 generators. As a direct Honda OEM part, it is manufactured to the same standards as the original component your generator shipped with, ensuring a correct fit without modification. The mat black finish matches the factory appearance of the covered generator models. Verify your generator's serial number against the fitment table before ordering, as Honda periodically supersedes parts at production breaks.
Key Features
- Genuine Honda OEM Quality — sourced directly from Honda, this cover meets the original design intent for fit and finish on the generator models listed, with no substitutions or approximations.
- Mat Black Factory Finish — the (Mat Black) designation is a specific variant; confirm your unit calls for this color before purchasing, as other finish variants exist.
- Broad Generator Compatibility — fits nine Honda generator models including the EB3800, EB4000, EB5000, EB6500, EG6500, EM3800, EM4000, EM5000, and EM6500.
- Check Your Serial Number — Honda updates part applicability at serial number breaks, so cross-reference your generator's serial number with the fitment table to confirm this is the correct cover for your unit.
The stator cover encloses and protects the stator assembly on the generator — the stationary winding set that works in conjunction with the rotating magnetic rotor to produce electrical output. By shielding the stator from debris, moisture, and mechanical contact, the cover preserves the integrity of the windings and associated components. A cracked, broken, or missing cover leaves the stator exposed to damage that can compromise the generator's electrical output or lead to a complete alternator failure.
